On Monday December 19th 2016 Brodan past away. B-Man would have turned 13 this coming April. Brodan had developed bone cancer which spread quickly to his lungs. A truly remarkable, intelligent, loving special breed.
I would like to say a very special thanks to the East End Animal Clinic in Barrie to the Vets and all the staff for their love, and special care they gave Brodan during these last six weeks.
Brodan you will be remembered always by Heather, Tasha, Charlie. Boh, Kenny, Jo-Anne, Justine, Elaine, and me your bud.
inspired by Roo's blog.http://dearhsdogblog.blogspot.com/ We proudly adopted Brodan from the wonderful staff @ the Barrie,On. SPCA 01/24/11. Brodan now lives with my wife & I. Brodan's father was a German Shorthaired Pointer and his mother was an American Pitbull. He's almost 12 yrs old. Still, faster than a cheetah & more powerful than a locomotive. Loves frisbee!

Soaking up the Sun ; Brodan style
photo below: This past Sunday, August 7th 2016, Brodan rolling in the grass soaking up the hot sun.
Brodan is doing well under the circumstances and is as happy as he has always been. Brodan has bone cancer in his front left lower leg. The lower joint has swollen to the size of a raquett ball. Broden has become quite efficient and has adapted well to moving around with his three good legs.
He'll use the left leg for balance when standing but applying just enough pressure to support his weight. He gets a daily dose of meloxicam to assist him with the pain. He is so good about taking his medicine. Our walks have become much shorter as he tires quickly. That said when its 30 degrees celsius we all tire quickly.
Just want to let Brodans fans know he is doing well and as of today is coping well.

Ice Cold Creek
Good morning Brodan fans. For no particular reason its been awhile since our last post. Brodan is now 12 and like all living things is showing signs of slowing down. Here's a great example last Saturday B-man & myself, at the Cottage doing our usually walk, requiring hopping a creek. Normally, B-Man would have cleared it with a single bound and left me behind to catch up.
Below a sequence of photos showing our beloved hero trying to decide how to best cross the creek. Now in Brodan's defines the water was ice cold.

Yesterday I had a very special visit from Jo Anne and Irene. Here are some of the pictures from our get together. Thank you for the picture and the dog treat. I had a little snack before my dinner and it was delicious.- Brodan.
