inspired by Roo's blog.http://dearhsdogblog.blogspot.com/ We proudly adopted Brodan from the wonderful staff @ the Barrie,On. SPCA 01/24/11. Brodan now lives with my wife & I. Brodan's father was a German Shorthaired Pointer and his mother was an American Pitbull. He's almost 12 yrs old. Still, faster than a cheetah & more powerful than a locomotive. Loves frisbee!

Nocturnal Creature 0 Brodan 1
In Ontario, Brodan our beloved GSP/Am Pitbull has 800 sq.ft. of freedom, known as our private backyard. NC [Nocturnal Creature] decided to take up residence underneath our deck. Sleeping it was. During our late afternoon game of frisbee, Brodan detected a whiff. A foreign visitor had perpetrated our border [without proper papers].
The game of frisbee ended abruptly. Border patrol was called. Search & Destroy was called. My worst fears was yet another skunk. I could hear & slightly see the encounter. I waited for the spray ; the awful pungent odour. It didn't come. Why? Oh my, please don't let it be the neighbours cat? Albert's cat? That would be a Shakespearean Tragedy. l
Finally after thirty seconds, Brodan surfaces looking unharmed, and no detection of pepe le pu. With B-Man safely in the confines of our house, I take my first look under the deck, where upon staring right back at me with eyes fully dilated is,.. Mr. Racoon. Fudge!

Brodan, you're a lucky fellow. Racoons will fight with everything they have if they feel cornered. Stick with chasing squirrels!!! xoxo
It wasn't "Anonymous" - it was your grandma!
Even better...try chasing your tail! That way there's no confusion between 'cats', 'cats-with-stripes', and 'cats-with-masks'!
Oh B man!
Tell your dad that raccoons hate sound and light especially during the day when they sleep. So if you're loud enough during the day they will move out all on their own.
Here is a GREAT link from a GREAT organization that will help you
